. . maybe I should drink . . . simply because apparently even if I don't order any alcoholic beverages at dinner, we still split the bill evenly. Tonight, my meal should've cost $9 w/o tip, but because the two people I was with had drinks, I ended up paying $20. If I wanted to pay $20, I would've ordered the stuffed pineapple entree.
If this continues, I might say something. Would you?

i would. why not just get separate check. it's only fair. i wouldn't want to pay for part of someone else's dinner.
i think it would be totally acceptable to say something, and you dinner companions should more than understand.
heck ya i'd say something. I'd be like "hey you alchies, i don't drink and i ain't payin' to support your habbit!!"
i would say something! shoot girl, you don't need to foot their bill. let them pay for their habit!
Yes, sooner rather than later. It will clear things up - make you so you don't have it as an issue anymore. They will most likely be understanding. They just haven't given it any thought.
More to my comment... unless you say it with the tone and attitude that anne recommends.... but then, that wouldn't be your style.
Who splits bills evenly....always separate checks that is only fair.
I would definently say something. Maybe something along the lines of what genius said... Heck they might see the bill and stop drinking themselves!
