More Travel

I just landed in D.C. after a red-eye flight from Seattle, a city I was so sad to leave. I had a very fun dinner with K before hurrying off to the airport, and I almost cried in the cab as I watched the buildings fade from my view. What a weirdo I am. However, I must say that my 36 hours were well-spent, both professionally and personally, and I can't wait to go back in February! Right now, it's on to even more fun, as I am about to switch out my carry-on contents and head back to the airport. Ok, that part will not be fun at all after today's red-eye, but I'll be landing in Colorado this evening, and I'm so excited to spend a long weekend with my friends and their adorable baby girl. I'm also happy to be leaving crazy-town (D.C. estimates 2 million visitors this weekend) and all the inauguration festivities. I better get to packin'!

I'm so glad I got to see you! I checked on Top Pot - and I was wrong, it is actually on 5th, just a few blocks north of your hotel. Now you'll know for next time! Can you send me the pictures from last night when you have a chance?

Have fun in Colorado and I'm looking forward to your return!

I didn't realize you were leaving before the inauguration! I thought for sure you'd be there! I can't say I blame you for getting out of dodge, though -- especially if it means going to Colorado!!!

Have fun!
