Good Friday

Today, don't forget the significance Good Friday.

Here are some lyrics from a favorite song:

Even when we turned our backs on {Him}

Now THIS is reason to rejoice always in all circumstances! God is so good!

Have you ever experienced pain? Think of the worst physical pain you've ever experienced. Now think of the worst emotional pain you've ever experienced.

It was worse for Him.

Don't think you deserved the pain you've endured? He was perfect. Without sin, He took all of our sins, our bad attitudes, the unforgiveness of our hearts, our lies, our unkind words, and on and on. He took it all on Himself and died for us, was mocked for us, was beaten and pierced for us! People who scorned Him, denied Him, were enemies to Him. He loved us that much!

He is so worthy of our lives, our devotion, our total surrender, and our love.

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Philippians 2:8

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:2
