Hello Friends

I think my roommate thinks I'm crazy. Sometimes I read your blogs, and I just have to share your stories. So I turn to her, and I don't know quite how to start. "This girl . .", I say. And she knows it's a blog. She has that look in her eye like "You're reading blogs again? You always read blogs." And so I start again, "I mean she's my friend" . . and I find myself feeling even more ridiculous.

But you are my friends. I may not have met you all in person, but we know each other, we share stories about our lives . . and more importantly, we care.

it's my husband who makes fun of me for this -- he's like, you don't even know these people. why are you reading about their lives?

because they're my "blog friends" that's why! :)

Sometimes I feel like I'm talking about a movie character as if they're in real life when I tell Brando about blog 'capades. Fortunately he's come to know MOST of you so he feels like you are friends, too... okay well at least a few and those I have met in real life : ) .

Dude, you are totally "My friend L, from DC" in all my conversations with my real life friends... I talk about my blog friends so often in real life that no one even considers that I might not actaully "know" you guys. People just think I have friends all over the country. Although, they do look at me a bit funny when I say, "So my friend, girl from Florida, was just saying the other day..." :)

I know, I know, I know!! I've talked about bloggers many times in conversations. I always say, "Oh! I have a friend in Washington, D.C. who ..." or "My friend in Key West ...", etc., etc.

And then I look at them like, "What, like I don't have a friend in ___?" Psh!

Only a couple people know you're actually bloggers. When K sees me reading blogs, he always rolls his eyes playfully and says, "Oh, you're blogging." :)

I think it is just like the pen pal system years ago!

Glad I got to meet you and look forward to seeing when my sister moves that way.
